The Israel mission of government experts, which recently returned here after an extensive tour of the United States, successfully carried out its assignment, Itzhak Babli, Controller of Supplies, told a press conference today.

The main objective of the mission, he explained, was to investigate the possible payment of duties on transfer investments to Israel through the import of raw materials. Mr. Babli said agreement had been reached with officials on that problem and, in consequence, some American investors were confident that investment in Israel was a feasible proposition.

The Controller said that the near future would see the establishment in Israel of many industrial enterprises, among them that of a brass and copper plant by American interests which have already subscribed $700,000 for that purpose. Another group, he said, is preparing the construction of foundries for all kinds of scrap metals by the most modern methods. In addition, he added, aluminum plants will be set up in Israel soon.
