U.S. Authorities in Austria Will No Longer Interfere in Arrests of Refugees

Arrests of displaced persons by Austrian police will no longer be referred to U.S. authorities for investigation, it was learned today.

The U.S. High Commissioner for Austria has approved relaxation of regulations imposed to protect the rights of displaced persons. However, the number of displaced Jews remaining in Austria is thought to be negligible.
