A total of 1,600 Jewish immigrants arrived in Haifa yesterday aboard the Israel transport S.S. Galila. The new arrivals include 483 Czechs, 260 Poles and 850 Rumanians. Representatives of the Jewish Agency who extended an official welcome to the new immigrants voiced their gratitude to Poland for her attitude to Jewry and to the state of Israel.
