Samuel Gompers, the late pioneer labor leader who was born to a London Jewish family, will be honored by the United States Government on the 100th anniversary of his birth. A three-cent stamp, bearing a picture of Mr. Gompers, will be placed on sale by the U.S. Post Office Department January 27, 1950.
