The first official Cabinet meeting was held in Jerusalem today, at the Jewish Agency building. Included on the agenda were reports on Israel-Transjordan negotiations, on the Lake Success situation and on the transfer of government offices to this city. Finance Minister Eliezer Kaplan submitted a budget to cover the cost of the transfer.

Despite the Syrian Army coup in Damascus yesterday, the weekly Israel-Syrian armistice commission meeting was held yesterday in the Syrian customs house near the Bnot Yaacov bridge, in northeastern Israel. The next session has been scheduled for two weeks hence at Rosh Pinah.

The Jewish Agency executive named Dr. Itzhak Gruenbaur to investigate allegations concerning the activities of various Agency departments, particularly those dealing with the immigrant reception camps, food supply and housing construction. Dr. Gruenbaum is expected to launch his investigation immediately following his return from France where he is now assisting in the drive for the Keren Hayesod.
