Saturday, February 25, has been designated as “Red Cross Sabbath” by Gen. George C. Marshall, president of the American Red Cross.
The Sabbath will be observed in synagogues throughout the nation in cooperation with the opening of the Red Cross annual fund-raising campaign. The following day, February 26, will be known as “Red Cross Sunday.”
