Brigadier General Yigai Allon, commander of the Israel armed forces in the Negev who led the campaigns which resulted in driving out the Egyptian Army from the scuthern part of Israel, today took leave from his forces.
On behalf of President Weizmann he was presented with a copy of “Trial and Error,” the autobiography of the President of Israel. The Beersheba military governor presented him with a silver chiseled Bedouin sword.
