Sen. Herbert H. Lehman said last night in the Senate that changes proposed by the Senate Judiciary Committee in the DP Act of 1948 would make it harder than ever to bring in the true victims of Hitlerism. He pointed out that however much he might sympathize with the ethnic German expellees, he believes it would be “cruel irony” to favor the Germans over their victims. Sen. Lehman is one of 18 Senators sponsoring a substitute measure.
