Israel Cabinet and Jewish Agency Approve Formation of Supreme Development Authority

The Israel Cabinet and the Jewish Agency today approved an agreement providing for the formation of a Supreme Development Authority, as envisaged by the Zionist Actions Committee. Representing the Israel Government in the now body will be Premier David Ben Gurion, Finance Minister Eliezer Kaplan, Labor Ministor Golda Myerson and Immigration Minister Moshe Shapira. The Agency will be represented by Berl Looker, chairman of the executive; Levi Eshkol, treasurer, Itzhak Raphael and Leo Hermann.
