Eliahu Elath, Israel Ambassador in Washington, has been named Minister to Britain, it was officially announced here last night. Ambassador Elath will succeed Dr. Mordecai Eliash who died last March.
(A report to this effect was published by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency last week. The JTA dispatch also said that it is expected that Aubrey S. Eban, Israel’s permanent delegate to the United Nations, would also take over the Washington post in addition.)
