A resolution calling on President Truman to use his influence with the State Department so that Israel’s request to purchase arms from the U.S. “may be approved forthwith” was adopted here today at the closing session of the 41st annual convention of Bnai Zion, fraternal Zionist organization.

The convention elected Dr. Jacob I. Steinberg as national president of Bnai Zion to succeed Harry A. Pine. A goal of $150,000 for the Jewish National Fund was also adopted by the 400 delegates attending the parley.
