Admiral John Edelsten, commander-in-chief of the British Mediterranean Fleet who arrived hore yesterday for his first visit to Israel, called on President Chaim Woizmann today and after a brief meeting with him toured the Weizmann Institute of Science at Rehovet.
A dinner in honor of the visiting Admiral was tendered last night by Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett at the Hotel Sharon. Admiral Edelsten had lunch today with Army Chief of Staff Brig. Yigal Yadin. He is expected to depart for Athens tonight.
