Israel members of the joint Israel-Egyptian mixed armistice commission have apologized to their Arab counterparts for the accidental penetration of Egyptian territory by an Israel Army patrol last week. The apology was made at yesterday’s meeting of the armistice commission. At the same time, the Israelis protested vigorously against the “fantastic” charges and reports circulated by the Egyptians following the incident.
