The Foreign Ministry today issued a statement assorting that “certain newspapers published disterted versions” yesterday of a speech which Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett delivered before the students of the Hebrew University.
The statement queted Mr. Sharett as saying that while “Israel is most anxious to promote friendly relations with all nations regardlees of their internal regimo,” it is “impossible to igmore the fact that it is only in the democratic countries that the Jewish communities enjoy freedom of organization, expression and independent activity.”
