Canada will send 15 to 25 Jewish athletes to the third Maccabiah games to be held in Israel in September, according to an announcement today by Jack Klein, chairman of the Canadian Maccabiah Committee.
The governing body of the committee will decide this week which athletes will comprise the Canadian team. Among those mentioned are Fred Oberlander, former Austrian and British heavyweight wrestling champion; the Montreal Y.M.H.A. basketball team; the North End Hakoah soccer team and a number of track and field and swimming st##.
