Serious differences developed here between the Argentine Zionist Federation, representing General Zionists in this country, and Egon Glucksmann, president of the Latin American Confederation of General Zionists, over the decision of the Federation to convoke a Latin American Conference of General Zionists.
The conference, which is scheduled to open here August 7, was today termed “illegal” by Mr. Glucksmann because it was convoked without agreement on the part of the Confederation. In a statement issued today, Mr. Glucksmann also charged the Zionist Federation with conducting “a campaign of defamation” against the Confederation.
