The world conference of the OSE — Jewish health society — concluded here today with the election of Judge Leon Meiss of France as president of its board after approving a decision to move the headquarters of the organization from Switzerland to Paris.
Resolutions adopted at the conference provide that the “main emphasis of the CSE’s future work should be in Israel and preparing Israel-bound immigrants” for their new environment. The conference also decided to continue its programs in North Africa and in Latin America. The parley thanked the Joint Distribution Committee and other world Jewish organizations and united Jewish campaigns in all parts of the world for their cooperation.
A new world executive committee headed by Dr. Eugene Minkowski was elected. It includes 15 representatives from Israel, United States, France, North Africa, South Africa, Italy, Switzerland and Scandinavia. A central committee comprising 40 representatives from 20 countries in which OSE operates was also elected.
