Jerome O. Glucksman, Assistant Attorney-General of New York, today issued the following statement after attending the 15th annual convention of the National Council of Auxiliaries of the Jewish Consumptives Relief Society here:
“I have every confidence, based on my observations at the Jewish Consumptives Relief Society sanatorium, that the institution will flourish. I base this confidence on the intense interest of the Board of Trustees in seeing that the institution functions properly in its splendid physical plant, and the singleminded devotion of the Trustees and Auxiliaries to the welfare of the patients. I am sure, as a result, that the investment of its sponsores will be used to further the humanitarian service that has been displayed in the past.”
Mrs. George Edelson of Chicago, president of the National Council of J.C.R.S. Auxiliaries, reported that the reunion is achieving harmony and unity, with all Auxiliary leaders pledging to inspire their memberships to complete support of the J.C.R.S. Mrs. Pauline Greenberg, New York regional chairman of the Auxiliaries, declared that the cooperation of the Trustees has instilled complete confidence among the Auxiliary women and they are returning home to reactivate Auxiliary groups which have been inactive the past three years.
