Two Jewish composers have been commissioned by the Fanny Farkas Music Fund of the Temple on the Heights here to write new musical settings for the High Holidays liturgy. The composers, Mark Silver and A.W. Binder, are widely known for their Jewish compositions. The Music Fund was set up to encourage the composition of new liturgical works. Cantor Saul Meisels, of the Temple on the Heights, and Harry H. Stone, are co-chairmen of the Fund.
