A 40-page edition of the Jewish Daily Forward, largest Yiddish daily newspaper in the world, devoted to the 90th birthday of its editor-in-chief, Abraham Cahan, was published here yesterday. The edition carries many pages of greetings from national Jewish organizations and leaders of the American labor movement.
Massages from Israel emphasize the contributions which the veteran Jewish editor has made in stimulating American Jewish interest in Israel. Mr. Cahan will be honored at a special luncheon on Saturday at the Hotel Commodore.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
