Protest meetings will be organized throughout Australia early this month against the government’s plan to sponsor large-scale immigration of German nationals to this country, it was announced today.

Replying to a protest against the proposed admission of Germans, emanating from the Australian Federation of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women, the president of the Returned Servicemen’s League in Australia said that the attitude of the Jewish veterans could “do nothing but perpetuate the causes of war. Australia has been free of these racial prejudices and has been able to absorb into the community without disturbance many thousands of Jews as well as many thousands of non-Jews,” the veteran’s leader added.
