Newly-arrived Jewish Dp’s in U.S. Will Observe Yom Kippur at Hias Synagogue

Yom Kippur services will be held tonight and tomorrow for several hundred recently-arrived Jewish displaced persons immigrants at the HIAS synagogue here. Services tomorrow will include chanting of the Yizkor–memorial for the dead. HIAS-sponsored Yom Kippur services have also been arranged at Ellis Island for Jews detained there temporarily.
