Egyptians Confiscate Mail Destined for Israel; Letters Came from U.s., Latin America

The Israel Postmaster General announced today that 21 sacks of mail destined for Israel were confiscated by Egyptian authorities after a forced landing of an Israel-bound TWA plane in Egyptian-held territory on September 18. The announcement said the mail originated in New York, Boston, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, Rome and Buenos Aires.
