A decision to cancel the Syrian protest that Israel police patrol boats on Lake Tiberias constitute a squadron of “sea power” was taken during the week-end at the meeting of the mixed Israel-Syrian armistice commission. Under armistice regulations no “sea power” may be maintained on the historic lake.
