The State Department today announced the temporary suspension of all outstanding non-immigrant American visas.

Suspended visas will be re-evaluated on the basis of the McCarran Subversive Control Law. DP’s will be exampted because they are normally screened by the DP Commission. Transportation lines have been ordered to refuse passage to America to all persons holding visas not yet re-examined under the McCarran law.
