The city of Tel Aviv was plunged into total darkness last night as sirens shrieked warning of an air attack. Thereafter, for a half hour, the sky was lit by tracer ammunition and huge searchlights as the defending forces drove off the first air raid of the autumn maneuvers of the Israel Army, Navy and Air Force.
