As long as German nationalism is on the upsurge and Nazism is being reactivated Israel is not secure, Jewry and other freedom-loving peoples are imperilled and the entire world is in danger of extermination, Dr. Zalman Grinberg, former president and founder of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in Germany, declared at a press conference here. Dr. Grinberg, who is presently an adviser to the Israel Health Ministry, arrived here today as a special delegate of the Histadrut to aid the Israel Histadrut campaign this year.

Dr. Grinberg asserted that Germany is already the winner of the present East West “cold war.” He called for the continuance of German disarmament and the subjection of Germany to a long period of “re-education according to American democratic standards.” He added that such a job could not be rushed and “must take two or three generations.”

Turning to Israel, he said that one of the problems facing the Jewish state is the proper distribution of population, a project difficult to achieve in the face of a 20,000 per month population increase. The reasons for spreading the population all over the country, he pointed out, are two-fold: for proper economic development of the land; and, for military defense.
