Rabbi Jacob Kaplan, French Mizrachi Leader, is Elected Chief Rabbi of Paris

Rabbi Jacob Kaplan, president of the French Mizrachi organization, has been elected Chief Rabbi of this city, succeeding the late Chief Rabbi Julien Weill, who died last April. A native of Paris, Rabbi Kaplan is the son of a former Minsk rabbi. His election to the vacant post was welcomed by all sections of the Jewish community here.
