A district court here today been hearing charges of espionage against Shawkat N### Skalabi, an Arab resident of a Jordan village bordering on the “Arab triangle” area in central Palestine.
Charged under the “Official Secrets Act,” the Arab is accused of attempting to obtain “information vulnable to the enemy.” The proceedings are being held in camera because of the reture of the information involved. It was reported that he was captured after he had been enticed across the Jordan-Israel border an intermediary.
