C.i.o. Asks American Delegation at U.N. to Help Speed Adoption of Genocide Pact

American delegates to the United Nations were asked today by the C.I.O. to “do all in their power to prevent legal barriers being erected to the speedy adoption of the International Genocide Convention. Jacob S. Potofsky, chairman of the C.I.O. International Committee, wrote Ambassador Warren Austin that “nothing should be done to block American participation in the genocide convention.”
