After expressing determination to have the activities of the Jewish Welfare Board geared to the defense needs of the United States, the nine-state western regional conference of the J.W.B. concluded its session here yesterday.

Over 150 people heard national president Irving Edison, of St. Louis, stress the importance of cooperation between the Jewish center, s?agogue, and religious school in order that American Jewish life would be enriched in all its aspects. As a result of the three-day conference it was decided that an experiment in cooperation between the Center facilities of large communities and their smaller, outlying neighbre would be attempted.
