Bulldozers today began clearing land at Eilath, at the southeastern tip of Israel, for a workers housing project, it was reported here. The first portion of what is planned as a permanent Histadrut housing project will contain 25 units.

The Mapai-sponsored Youth Pioneering Organization, Nahal, today established a new settlement, “Ein Netafim,” four miles northwest of Eilath in the area of the Bir Qattar, whose occupation Egypt disputes in the mixed armistice commission.
