A decision to conduct radio programs explaining the meaning of Jewish religion to American Jewish youth was adopted here at the 28th annual Midwestern Convention of Young Israel attended by 125 delegates from Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, St. Lozis, Cleveland and other cities.
The convention also decided to encourage Young Israel groups throughout the country to engage rabbis as leaders. It resolved to encourage the development of all-day Jewish schools, terming the development “one of the most positive directions in Jewish life.”
