The Senate Armed Services Committee, which unanimously cleared Assistant Secretary of Defense Anna M. Rosenberg of accusations of being a Communist, yesterday moved toward a court test of whether Mrs. Rosenberg’s accusers can be charged with perjury.
The committee asked the Justice Department to determine whether there is evidence of perjury on the part of those who testified against Mrs. Rosenberg. Attorney General J. Howard McGrath was told by the committee that from the testimony there “appears to be a distinct possibility some of the witnesses may have committed perjury, subornation of perjury or perhaps other criminal offenses.”
