Joseph Willen, executive vice-chairman of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York in charge of fund-raising, was honored here last night at a dinner at the Hotel Plaza. He was presented with a scroll in recognition of his 33 years of service to the organization.
Mr. Willen started working with the Federation in 1917 as a campaign clerk at $65 per month. He became director of fund-raising in 1923 and one of the two executive vice-presidents of the organization in 1942. The other executive vice-president is Dr. Maurice Herter.
