U.S. High Commissioner in Germany Discusses Restitution Problem with Jewish Leaders

United States High Commissioner John J. McCloy received representatives of Jewish organizations to discuss the problem of restitution of Jewish property seized from its owners during the Nazi regime.

The Jewish delegation was composed of Dr. Nahum Goldmann, head of the American section of the Jewish Agency executive and president of the World Jewish Congress; Moses Beckelman, European director of the American Joint Distribution Committee; Benjamin Ferencz, director-general of the Jewish Restitution Successor Organization, and Max Kreuzberger, of the Jewish Agency.
