A United Israel Appeal was proclaimed here by J. Ramatti, a representative of Israel. The immediate goal is a $30,000 fund drive to be followed by a Purim Ball. Mr. Ramatti also organized the recent United Israel Appeal in Japan which netted $27,000.
An Israel Immigration Bureau has been opened here with offices in the Hong Kong Hotel. W. Citrine, the honorary consul in charge, will have among his duties the assistance of Israel-bound immigrants from China who pass through this island port.
