J.N.F. in America Received About $250,000 from Wills and Requests Last Year

Close to a quarter of a million dollars from wills and bequests was received last year by the Jewish National Fund, it was announced here by Mendel N. Fisher, executive director. Speaking at a meeting called to discuss the J.N.F.’s recently established Department of Living Legacies, Mr. Fisher said also that $200,000 in insurance policies, naming the Jewish National Fund as a beneficiary, has already been received.

Under the Living Legacies plan the J.N.F. guarantees a fixed income for life to American Jews who assign their capital to the organization for use in the upbuilding of Israel. Mr. Fisher told the gathering that in Israel the Jewish National Fund has received the sum of $2,800,000 under its Living Legacies program.
