Problems of child rescue and rehabilitation work were discussed here this week-end at a tri-state regional conference of the Pioneer Women, Zionist Labor group. The conference marked World Jewish Child’s Day yesterday.
More than 100 delegates from 12 states attended the three-day parley, which closed last night. They came from Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Tennessee, Colorada, Oklahoma and Texas. The Pioneer Women has established, and now maintains, a network of more than 250 child-care centers, youth villages, agricultural and vocational guidance schools and social service institutions throughout Israel.
