Arrest? Jews in Poland, Rumania, Hungary Reported by American Jewish Committee

Large numbers of Jews in Poland, Rumania and Hungary has been arrested by the local authorities there and sent to forced labor, the American Jewish Committee reported during the week-end.

The report said that the Jews in these countries have been pauperized by the communist regimes and that Jewish religious life there is under the rule of Communist Officials. Jewish communal organizations have deteriorated there and Jewish schools cultural institutions have declined sharply in number, the report said.
