Anti-jewish and Anti-american Demonstration Held in Munich by University Students

Students at the University of Munich gathered yesterday in front of the famed Four Season’s Hotel here and broke into an anti-Semitic and anti-American demonstration. The students sang the former Nazi anthem, Deutschland Uber Alles, and the Nazi Horst Wessel song. They shouted that the “Americans should leave Germany.”

Jewish ritual slaughterers who came to the municipal abattoir on Thursday for a routine slaughtering of animals were attacked by Germans, it was revealed today. The kosher slaughtering could be completed only after intervention by municipal authorities.

A Jewish weekly published here reveals that since the end of the war no less than 240 cases of desecration of Jewish cemeteries have been reported. The editor of one publication draws attention to the visits by German ministers to the graves of fallen German soldiers, and comments that no such visits have yet been made to the graves of former concentration camp victims.
