The Israel-Jordon Mixed Armistice Commission today decided to form a sub-committee for registration of all Arabs who left Israel, in order to pave the way for those who wish to return. The decision was supported by Colonel Bennett de Ridder, United Nations chairman of the Commission.
An Arab broadcast from Lebanon today reported that the Lebanese government submitted a protest to the Israel-Lebanon Mixed Armistice Commission over Israel’s alleged burning of a large wooded area along the common border in order to enable the building of an Israeli military road.
