Haifa Refinery Workers End Four-day Strike; Win Wage Increase, Improved Conditions

The four-day strike of 600 workers employed by the oil refineries here ended last night with the reaching of an agreement between management and a union committee. The agreement provides that workers will be hired through union hiring offices. A wage increase, which has been granted, will be retroactive to April 1, 1951.
