Majority of Jewish Students in Austrian University Are Refugees from Nearby Countries

A total of 89 Jewish students attended Graz University during the 1950-51 academic year, the University announced today. Ninety per cent of the group were refugees from nearby countries, while the remaining ten percent was divided equally between Jews from Israel and from Austria. Twenty-one of the students completed their studies during the past year; 177 are going to Israel, three to Canada and one to Brazil.
