President Truman told his press conference today that he could not comment on the case of Andre Artukovitch, Interior Minister in the Nazi puppet state of Croatia, whose extradition on murder charges is being sought by – Yugoslavia, because he knew nothing about it. Correspondents gave him the background of the case. Artukovitch was granted release from Federal detention in Los Angeles on a habeas corpus writ yesterday subject to his making, $50,000 bail pending extradition hearings October 8.
