Sen. Wayne Morse warned the United States Senate today that “a great many disturbing reports from Germany” seem to “indicate that the psychology of too many of its people seems to be ripe for a new Fascist leader in Germany.” He called attention to dangers involved in the amalgamation of German veterans groups led by 13 Nazi generals and called for a determined effort to “see to it that any rebirth of Nazism must be controlled.”
