German Official Sued for Urging Ban on Film by Anti-semite

The producer and distributor of the film, “Immortal Beloved, ” directed by Veit Harlan, anti-Semitic film director of the Nazi regime, have brought an action for damages in the civil court here against Erich Lueth, Bonn Government information officer, and sponsor of the “peace with Israel” movement in Germany, for attacking Harlan and calling for the banning of the film in German theatres. The court’s verdict is expected in about a week.
