The Supreme Court today ruled against a number of New York Jewish parents who wanted to send their children to Brooklyn religious school where the curriculum does sot conform to state requirements.
The Court dismissed the challenge to the New York education, law and left standing judgments convicting the parents of violating a statute requiring school age chidden to take required courses of study at a recognized school. It was pointed out that the religious school in Brooklyn is not recognized by the Jewish Education Committee which supervise secular teaching in Hebrew parochial schools.
