Potash Company Head Arrives in Israel for Talks with Government

Lord Glenconner, chairman of the board of the Palestine Fotash Company arrived here today from London to discuss the future of the potash Company with government officials. Upon his arrival, he told newsmen that he had brought no new proposals to put before the government.

Meanwhile, it was learned that the Cabinet committee named to investigate the possibility of reopening the Dead Sea mineral plant will meet this week prior to making its recommendations the Cabinet A spokesman for the Cabinet today told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that rumors concerning in alleged Cabinet decision to nationalize the plant were “unfounded” (In London a spokesman for the company denied reports that it had failed to raise enough capital to enter into a partnership agreement with the Israel Government for operating the concession.)
