42 Radio Stations in U.S. Broadcast Israel Government Programs

Forty-two radio stations throughout the United States are currently broadcasting a weekly series of programs devoted to the social and cultural life of the State of Israel, it was announced here today by the Israel Office of Information. The programs, entitled “Vistas of Israel” are produced by the radio department of the Israel Office of Information and include original music from Israel, narrative travelogues describing Israel’s historic landmarks; on-the-scene interviews, and other features.

The “American-Israeli Almanac,” a new radio program featuring a behind-the-headlines view of life in Israel was launched here today over station WLIB and will be heard daily. The program is written and produced by Eleanor Levenson, author and lecturer, and Louis P. Goldberg, former New York City Councilman.
